At Bluebell Lane Medical Practice we like to embrace modern digital solutions to enhance our commitment to patient care.

 

At the surgery we use two online services that are convenient for our patients, often saving time and avoiding a visit to the surgery.

 

Patient Access

 

This is NHS approved app technology that allows patients to;

  • Book routine advanced appointments up to 2 weeks in advance
  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • View medical records

 

If you would like to create a new Patient Access account, download the app via the app store on a mobile device or tablet. If you are using a laptop or computer please visit www.patientaccess.com

 

“I already have a Patient Access account but it isn’t working.”

In October 2018, Patient Access was updated and re-branded. This has meant that some patients using mobiles or tablets that work on an old operating system have had to update and re-register for Patient Access.

 

Patient Access Troubleshooting

 

Signing in for the first time
If you are an existing user and this is the first time that you have used the new Patient Access then please sign in as normal using your User ID.

 

Once you have done this, you have the option to confirm your account details which includes confirming an email address you would like to use for future sign ins.

 

Until you confirm this sign in email address you can continue to sign in with your User ID.

I can’t sign in and my details are correct
Even if you are confident you have the correct details, try recovering your User ID (using this link) and resetting your password (using this link).

 

I’ve tried resetting my password, but I never receive it
Your practice may have a old, or incorrect, email address for you on the practice system. Contact the practice to update this and then try resetting your password again.

 

Can I share a sign in email address?
Unfortunately, it is also no longer possible to share an email address on Patient Access. This is because we use the email address as a unique identifier to ensure the account security and confidentiality. Users who shared an email address on the old platform and migrated their accounts across to our new platform are permitted to continue to share an email until a password reset is required.

 

 

eConsult – Online Consultation Software

 

eConsult allows patients to contact the surgery to request same day appointments and consult online with their GP or advanced nurse practitioner, request admin help or get approved self-help advice for a range of medical conditions.

 

You can use eConsult to:

  • discuss a particular medical problem for yourself or a child over 6 months of age
  • get self-help for a variety of medical conditions
  • self refer to other services
  • get pharmacy advice
  • request admin support
